Galia Kwetny - a Canadian painter of abstracted landscapes whose recent research explores ways in which migration and displacement is reflected in visual arts. Galia works in oil, synthetic polymer, mixed media, and collage.

Artribute Art School is located in a historical building of the Old Courthouse in Red Deer.

Our school offers professional and continuous art education for children and adults. Along with offering a custom-tailored curriculum to each small group (they are never larger than 6 students per group) in Fine Arts fundamentals (drawing, painting, and sculpture), we enrich our students' studio practice with basics in Art History and Art Theory in a age-appropriate, enjoyable way. We inform them of events and trends in contemporary art world, host Master classes with professional artists and live model drawing/painting/sculpture sessions. We also arrange venues for annual students' work exhibitions.

Each group is approached individually so that every child or adult’s educational needs are catered for.

The curriculum covers art fundamentals and is devised to facilitate a rapid and enjoyable learning.  The school provides professional training in painting and drawing which is informed by contemporary theoretical and pedagogical research.

The emphasis in the organization of this school is on continuous art education that is dedicated to nourishing our students' artistic growth over the years and is focused on catering for the students' developmental needs.

The students this year will enjoy possibilities of using the city library for their research – that is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the studio, as well as painting en plein air in the city hall park downstairs. They will visit surrounding galleries and the Red Deer museum as part of the curriculum.

Adults will be offered individual and/or group programs tailored for their interests and needs in drawing, and acrylic, oil, or mixed media painting. Training in professional stretcher building and canvas stretching and starting their own studio practices is offered as well.

Artribute Art School offers individual/ goup programs for University Entrance Portfolio preparation for Bachelor of Fine Arts Programs applicants.
